Goody Demolition was tasked with dismantling the Channel Tunnel boring machine which had been on display alongside the Visitor Centre since the completion of the Anglo – French connection in 1994. Weighing 580 tonnes, the steel structure was cut into sections using hot works (flame cutting) in order to enable the safe removal to a recycling facility.
