Demolition Works Continue at Ashdown House in Hastings

GDL, having been employed by Chartway Group, are progressing well with the demolition of the former Department of Work & Pensions Building located in Harrow Lane.
Recent drone photos give a bird’s eye view of how the team are systematically taking down the multi-storey former office building.
We had already completed asbestos removal and soft strip works prior to the excavators moving onto site, whereupon we commenced with the structural demolition in early January 2023.
The site is being redeveloped to provide 151 new homes, a community centre and new supermarket.
