Gary Venner - Managing Director

Gary has been involved in both the construction and demolition industries for 30+ years, working as a plant operator, supervisor and contracts manager prior to his current role. During his time, he has worked on, coordinated and overseen all manner of projects, from small domestic demolition, to multi-million-pound commercial and industrial enabling projects for some of the biggest house builders and property development firms in the UK. Gary has a Senior Safety Manager Black Card and a Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Construction Contracting Operations Management.

Spencer Nichol - Operations Manager

Spencer has worked in Civil Engineering and Demolition for over 35 years, 15 of which have been spent as an Operations Manager for Demolition. Spencer has overseen the introduction and implementation of an Integrated Management System within Goody Demolition, accredited to ISO9001:2015, ISO14001:2015 and ISO45001:2018. Spencer holds Level 7 Diploma in Health and Safety Leadership and Management, Health and Safety Manager Black Card, CITB Temporary Works Coordinator, Construction ( Design and Management ) Regulation 2015.

Jonathan Knott - Commercial Manager

Commercial Manager: Jonathan has worked in both the demolition and construction industries for over 25 years as a quantity surveyor, working across many disciplines throughout that time. Since joining Goody Demolition, Jon has proven invaluable overseeing the commercial management of our major projects, and those of our sister companies. He has a vast experience of the multitude of current and historic contract agreements, and has worked on a wide range of projects within both the public and private sectors, covering all types of demolition and construction methods.

Jack J Pope - Bid Manager

Jack has written, coordinated and managed the delivery of winning proposals for some of the UK’s largest demolition and enabling projects in recent years, including London’s Paddington Square Development and 1 Sherwood Street (Piccadilly Lights). A relatively new member of the Goody Team, Jack brings vast experience and success in both Public and Private sector tendering, as well as industry experience gained whilst working as a Bid Coordinator, Senior Bid Writer and Group Bid Manager for the world’s 3rd largest demolition contractor.


James Wall - Contracts Manager

James started his demolition career as an operative/burner-specialist working on power stations before making the move into management. James maintains Technician Grade Membership of the Institute of Demolition Engineers (TechIDE), holds a CCDO Manager Black Card (Contract & Demolition), and level 7 NVQs in Construction Site Management for both Demolition and Building and Civil Engineering. James has overseen some of GDLs largest projects in recent years, including complex industrial demolition, top down, high reach & de-plant as well as large-scale commercial and residential demolition and enabling contracts.
