GDL-backed Ovenden claims maiden 5 Nations BRX Supercar win at Mondello Park

Goody Demolition sponsored racing team Ovenden Motorsport had a successful few days in Ireland over the Platinum Jubilee weekend, with lead driver Tristan Ovenden claiming his maiden 5 Nations BRX Supercar win at Mondello Park.
Canterbury based Rallycross driver Tristan and his red and yellow liveried team Headed over the Irish Sea to Mondello International Circuit, situated just outside of Dublin. Where rounds 5 and 6 of the British Rallycross Championship was being held over the weekend of the 4th and 5th of June.
The Goody Demolition backed driver roared back into action by recording fastest times in both qualifying heats for Round 5, something not achieved since his graduation to Supercar, securing him pole position for the first semi-final. Tristan finished in second spot, comfortably landing a place in the 10 car final.
Ovenden seized the opportunity and got the best start possible easily heading into the first corner leading the pack; a position that he would maintain even emerging in the lead after taking his joker on the fifth lap.
Round 6 saw wet weather on the Sunday, with the less favourable driving conditions leaving the Ovenden Team celebrating earning further Championship points but having to settle for 6th place in the race.
Commenting on the Win, Tristan said:

What an amazing day Saturday was literally the stuff of dreams. I’m so pleased to be able to deliver an event win in Ireland with the team we have it is a special moment. We ask a lot of the team that supports us and the only thing I can do is thank them all so much, it’s just an incredible time.

Tristan further thanked Goody Demolition MD Gary Venner for his ongoing support and sponsorship.
